National Wildfire Preparedness Day Neighborhood Event!

When:   Saturday, May 1st, 2021

      Drop in anytime between 10:30 AM - Noon

Where:  High Street Community Church Parking Lot, 850 High St. 


Wear a Mask  ○  Walk or bike over  ○  Handicapped parking available

This is a free, outdoor, farmer’s market-style, socially distanced, drop-in event where you can speak to local fire safety experts,

pick up information on how to prepare & protect your home and family from wildfires, and meet your neighbors.


  • Learn how we can collectively make our neighborhood open spaces safer: Pogonip, Harvey West Park, and Evergreen Cemetery Ravine 

  • Free information & resources: learn how to build fire-resistant landscaping around your house & reduce your water usage by 10% for this year’s drought

  • Become part of our neighborhood community emergency response team, learn about your Street Zones & meet Block Captains

  • Contribute to the GoatFundMe campaign at HighlandFirewise.org to clear Evergreen Cemetery Ravine wildfire risks...with a herd of 400 goats!
